    Transfer Student Scholarship Application

Our Transfer Student Scholarships are highly competitive and prestigious awards available for new transfer students.  The awards are a minimum of $1,000 per year; some are renewable for a second year of your undergraduate career at Illinois State. The awards are based on academic merit rather than on financial need. However, all students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to maximize the opportunity for financial assistance.

By submitting this scholarship application, you will be considered for the Transfer Student Scholarship and Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship.

    Application Requirements

Students must meet these minimum requirements to be considered:
    • First-time student at Illinois State University starting spring, summer, or fall 2019.
    • Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale as calculated by the Office of Admissions at the time of admission.
    • Transfer a minimum of 30 college credit hours completed at another collegiate institution at the time of enrollment.
    • Phi Theta Kappa membership (required for consideration for the PTK Scholarship; applicable to community college students only).
Candidates must submit the online scholarship application including a 500-word essay and an official transcript showing fall 2018 grades (if those grades are not reflected on the transcripts currently on file with the Office of Admissions) by Friday, April 5, 2019.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
